Northwestern University Settlement Association records, 1909-1974 (bulk 1937-1974).

Consists primarily of materials received by the Northwestern University Settlement Association from various organizations, including the Chicago Council of Social Agencies (later the Welfare Council of Metropolitan Chicago), the Chicago Federation of Settlements and Neighborhood Centers, the East Humboldt Park--Near Northwest Conservation Community Council, and the West Town Mental Health Planning Group. The papers, the bulk of which were created during Michael Rachwalski's tenure as executive director of the association (1937-1981), include minutes, reports, flyers, and some correspondence, and pertain primarily to the issues addressed by these groups. Includes two letters by Harriet Vittum to Mrs. Fitch, 1920.
